Tom the mail carrier saves the day on Dinah
Tom Wright, a schoolboy turned stage driver, holds the United States mail for Van Buren while Harmony Cushman and Dinah the mare confront Bates. He unblocks a road, crosses a chain barrier, and reaches the station just in time to mail the bag. Harmony’s plea and Tom’s quick actions foil Bates’s scheme, ending with Cushman’s vindication and payment to Tom.
