Weather is cooler this forenoon due to a fresh breeze. Death rate among vulnerable groups rises amid the heat. Public library closed as attendants collapse from heat.
The steamer City of New Orleans brought Esposito to port, an Italian brigand once living in New Orleans. He led a Palermo region gang known for robbing travelers and murdering rivals for ransom during a reign of terror across Sicily.
A large Dean Bros mill in South Chester, Chester, burned this morning causing about 30,000 in losses and reported as partially insured. The incident followed by reports of another fire in Joliette and a turbine valve test at Welland canal with unresolved results.
