Burglars Loot J H Grimme Sons Store After Back Door Break In
Burglars entered the J. H. Grimme & Sons tailoring shop at 108 Calhoun Street during the night or early Saturday morning. They stole between 75 and 100 dollars worth of goods, breaking a back door pane with a hatchet and leaving several items behind. Three full suits, a blue vest and matching trousers, and other garments were taken. two vests were found outside. The hatchet and twine were recovered. Police searched the city but no clues emerged. Board of Public Safety suspended Officer Vachon for irregularities and reassigned his duties, with George Pagaino moving from the fire department to replace him. A new fireman will be appointed to fill the vacancy.
