Fifty Years A Disciple Of Apollo Jubilee For Fred J. Reineke
Prof. Fred J. Reineke marks fifty years as a musician with a Fort Wayne celebration. Reineke, born 1849, began on viola and brass, joined Struby’s band, led Fort Wayne City band, and built Reineke’s orchestra. He helped found Indiana’s oldest continuous band, served as first Fort Wayne musical union president, and remains a central figure in local music.
