Kaiser Pleased With Result Of Election
Berlin says Emperor William called on Chancellor Von Buelow early today to praise his judgment in dissolving the reichstag and appealing to the nation on a key policy question. The emperor kept a constitutional stance during the campaign but showed keen interest in the colonial issue and the socialist outcome. He walked in the Thiergarten after meeting Von Buelow and greeted cheering crowds with a cheerful demeanor. William will be forty eight tomorrow, and observers note the birthday gift in curbing red republican socialism. Von Buelow's standing with the emperor and public is said to be strengthened.
