City of Merxico reports war fever as cabinet meets and Mexico says 6,000 troops stand on the Guatemalan frontier. Guatemala replies to Mexico’s demands as plans for a naval and land invasion unfold, with 50,000 forces capable within a week and 15,000 already on the frontier.
The annual farmers institute met in the city hall last Friday with about 200 attendees. President A W Brooks urged farmers to study farming as a science to ease burdens and improve production, noting the institute’s aim to elevate farming and share practical knowledge through meetings and publications.
