Funeral for Honorable C. Bell Held at Muncie

No Religion in Schools Decision by Public Instruction

The Philippine commission approved creating the department of public instruction after a debate over banning religious instruction in schools. Commissioner Moses opposed the original section, offered an amendment prohibiting religious doctrines in schools, and Ide joined Moses against Judge Toft on the substitute.
