St Petersburg Jan 15 The deficit in the 1907 budget will be covered from internal sources and without a foreign loan if Finance Minister Kokovsoff’s expectations hold. Lexington Kentucky January 15 Word received today from Jackson Breathitt county says John Smith was arrested last night at the head of Otter creek Perry county by Harve Riley on a warrant from Lee county. A telephone to Judge Hargis said Smith was with an armed posse and trying to escape but offered no resistance. Judge James Hargis Senator Alexander Hargis and Ed Callahan were on Smiths bond for 30 000 in two murder cases. When Smith confessed he aided in the assassination of Dr. D B Cox at boast of Hargis and Callahan they withdrew the bond.
