Sergeant Bard of the army recruiting office signed two Portland youths Edward Gaunt and Doyte Horton this morning for Army barracks duty in New York City. Corporal Oscar Bailess enlisted John W Mooney as an apprentice musician for the marine service. Mooney to Washington for instruction before foreign service duty.

Kidnapped Greek Girl Reunited With Father After Gypsy Camp Rescue

Cecelia Deme tro a twelve year old daughter of a Little Rock Greek ironworker, kidnapped March 1, 1906, was found by her father near Thornton Illinois after a year of searching. Leo Demetro and four deputy sheriffs confronted kingpin John Joe as the child played outside the camp. Joe and his followers scattered as revolvers were drawn and Cecelia was recovered and brought to Chicago.
