Drumbeat of Faith and Fire in Dr. Talmage Sermon
Dr. Talmage laments the church losing its weapons against evil and urges reclaiming spiritual and intellectual tools. He cites Israel’s lack of smiths and grindstones under Philistine rule, urges Christians to employ worldly grindstones and presses, and calls for lay participation, resolve, and renewed energy to advance faith.
