Coroner Wabb holds an inquest this afternoon on the body of George Rapp who died at the county asylum last night after being found in a lane in an unconscious state. Wallin condemned man cheerful before hanging in jail
The condemned man was taken from his cell Friday to Wallin's gallery on Berry street under Deputy Sheriff Frank Hance and Officer Deidrich Meyer. He remained cheerful, telling our reporter he felt fine despite days of illness, posing for two pictures while still in handcuffs. He claimed his religion keeps him oblivious to trials and persecutions.
