Marriage of Mary Lord Dimmick to Gen Benjamin Harrison

The wedding occurred Monday at St Thouiss church with Gen Harrison and Mrs Dimmick privately joined in a ceremony officiated by Dr Wesley Brown. Guests included twenty relatives and select friends. the couple then traveled by private car to Indianapolis aboard the Pennsylvania ferry, en route to a public reception in Washington.

Lad Killed in Freight Car Tragedy Near Valparaiso

Mrs Michael J Ovens of 1638 Mau Mee avenue received a Chicago letter about her nephew Eddie Thompson, fourteen, who ran away from Chicago, rode freight cars toward Foxt Wayne, fell between cars at Valparaiso and was killed. The mother learned of the death after more than a week. the boy had visited the city previously. Also noted is a report from Kietnaxp Obie about April 6 announcing the annual conference of the reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with delegates from several states and four original members present.

Anarchist Plot Halts Kidnapping Plan of Vanderbilt Family

In Lex Francisco on April 6 Detective Gard reported an anarchist scheme to abduct Cornelia Vanderbilt and rob the Vanderbilt special, planned to occur in the San Joaquin valley. Officials near Bakersfield acted to deter the plot, which was abandoned as the party traveled by day, and no abduction occurred.

Man nearly fatally cut throat while shaving at home

John Baldwin of Lefeyelle street was badly wounded when his daughter unintentionally caused a razor to slash his neck open from ear to front. Dr A Keppel treated the severe bleed with nine stitches and the injury left him exhausted but alive. A rumor claimed self harm but could not be confirmed.

Woman struck by street car on Lafayette and Wayne streets

Mrs Nonnemaker, living at 160 Oliver street, was struck by a Main Street line street car at Lafayette and Wayne streets Saturday forenoon. She suffered a fracture to the left arm and other injuries. Doctor McCausland attended her. her age is given as seventy five and she is described as slightly deaf.

Two Committees Appointed to Investigate Begnon Construction Charges

A Fort Wayne Labor meeting at City Hall discussed alleged use of imported labor by the Begnon Construction Co. for the Swift park railroad project. The group chose a seven member committee and a nine member business committee to conduct impartial inquiry, with Hon. J. B. White to head the business panel. Also noted a charity potato-plot plan for unemployed workers and a narrow streetcar accident injuring a firefighter’s child.
