A Mazatlan dated March 10 letter from a St. Louis Reveille correspondent argues Mexico would unite to resist a foreign invasion. It urges Congress to send a large disciplined army and strike a decisive blow, warning six thousand men cannot conquer a nation of millions and comparing invasion to Pharaoh’s retreat.
