Northeastern Indiana reports note minor accidents during recent student recital season. Hicksville and Auburn pupils performed at New Bethany Church and Vocal Clu se hall, with several injuries reported from stair falls and stage mishaps.

She has long served in WRC roles including district president, and previously ran for state presidency. Her efforts focus on supporting orphans at the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Orphans home in Knightstown and advancing WRC work locally.
MONROEVILLE Ind June 13 The men of Monroe township in classes two three and four of the laraf have formed a war work organization The group selects C F Spaulding as president Waldo Barclay vice president Frank Crabill secretary Warren Allison treasurer The organization plans a poll of men over eighteen and will participate in the WBS drive next week About eighty men attended the last meeting and another gathering is set for Tuesday evening

Special to the News reports Funes 13 Clyde Egner, a stock driver for Meyer Bros in Columbia City, Ind, was kicked in the face by a Dur ham Bull at Milo Leppard farm one mile west of Arcola. The bull shattered his face, broke the bridge of his nose, cut below the left eye, and tore his tongue. He was taken to town by Dr EV Nest for treatment and is expected to fully recover. The bull was not known as a vicious animal.
Overcome by heat in a Noble county onion field on the G F Young farm, a 50 year old man from Larwill was found unconscious after moving to Noble county Monday and employed by J I Bogga. He remained critical Thursday. In Lafayette, Coronel Richard P DeHart, famed criminal lawyer and former state senator, died after two months illness. Billy Sunday Jr. arrived at Winona en route home after Princeton, saying his brother Lieutenant George Sunday is in the aviation corps sailing for France.
Relatives receive War Department notice that Private Basil M Wooten has died in France from accidental causes. The department’s casualty message provides no further details beyond his death. The notification lists Wooten as among those reported dead in the conflict.
Joseph F Sturms longtime New Haven resident dies at home from heart disease. Born Oct 2 1877 in Joseph Township he was married to Mrs Mary Gunder on Oct 14 1877. Survived by wife three sons Elmer Albert Worden and two daughters Mrs Chester Ashro and another daughter. seven children total with two predeceased. Funeral Friday at 2 PM at Methodist Protestant church with Rev S Heninger officiating. Interment in O F cemetery at New Haven.
Huntington Ind June 13 Eduad Mo Wasmuth republican state leader says a trip to Washington yielded promises from many republican senators and representatives to visit Indiana and speak during the upcoming campaign.
