Enthusiastic local organizers announce a citywide pushmobile race next Saturday morning. Volunteers have worked hard to ready vehicles and course in every district, with staging underway and final details being arranged for the event.
A local event invites all under twelve to join a parade at the Public Library corner Wayne and Webber streets, then a race on a course bounded by Wayne Berry Webster and Twine. Prizes awarded for participation and various merit criteria, with judging by the One Hundred Verse GyInyt club.
Attorney Frank Emrick will be principal speaker at the Fort Wayne real estate board weekly meeting at the Chamber of Commerce at noon today. He will discuss the fiduciary duty to a buyer and the results of carefully written contracts.
The Gig School Board announced Mia Maxy St. Gorrell Ro N as the new school nurse. Miss Gorell will begin duties October 7, with an assistant position still under advisement. she is a native of the city and recently worked as an assistant supervisor at Columbia Hospital, Washington.
The Indiana National Guard will organize its first separate unit, the 152nd Infantry, at the armory on Campbell 34. Major Albert Tick from the adjutant general’s office announced the telegram confirming the unit’s formation. Forty-two men have joined, with more expected as preparations continue to meet federal service needs. The initial noncommissioned officers were called for examinations and training.
Special features set for tonight's big Sixth Ward meeting include Joe Lippi's trio and other instrumental and vocal acts. Italian music and songs from across Italy will be performed. A Fort Wayne high school class on international problems will be organized by Indiana University's extension department tonight. Dr E. Minton and Amos Hershey, who traveled to Europe with former President Wilson, will teach. The course will cover German reparations recognition of the Russian Republic and European reconstruction, with business English chemistry psychology public speaking and law contracts also offered to several hundred students.

Final tribute for private Ira A Lewis son of Mr and Mrs A M Lewis. Wounded on 2 French soil, he died the next day. Military funeral held with Lewis Post and the American Legion Band in attendance at the Oak Hill cemetery. Born September 5, 1891 in Convoy, he served in Company 158th Infantry after being drafted May 1918.
