South Bend financier Angus Grant plans to purchase the Springfield franchise in the Central League and transfer the club to Fort Wayne next spring. J. K Williams confirms the Springfield franchise is on the market while Isadore Mautner renewed the Fort Wayne park lease for three years, likely linking with Grant. The Terre Haute franchise reportedly is for sale and may go to Youngstown.
