Wouldn't Wed a Prince
Miss Helen Maloney daughter of Philadelphia millionaire Martin Maloney testified in New York Supreme Court that she feared parental pressure to wed a titled foreigner. She said she and Arthur Herbert Osborne hurriedly married in Mamaronieck without intent to consummate, planning later Catholic rites, with Osborne denying consummation. The annulment was granted and Maloney remains free to wed Samuel Clawson, an Englishman, while church authorities weigh the marriage validity.
