Jacob M. Kell of 635 West Superior Street, honorary elder of the Christ Lutheran Church, announced a gift of 33000 to the church. Kell has attended the church for 24 years and has served in various roles.

Mrs Das Wikle 44 wife of Lawrence Wikle died at home 44 South Hanna street after a faulting illness. She belonged to Sacred Heart league and Catholic Order of Foresters. Widow and mother of several children, services from Holy Name Church then St Peter Catholic Church with burial in Catholic Cemetery.
