The sale ends years of operation and leaves local and foreign capitalists about several hundred thousand dollars poorer. Hugh Diehl is recovering from injuries sustained weeks ago.
An advertisement offers a so called $3.50 recipe claimed to restore manhood, vigor, and memory after age or excesses. It invites readers to mail for Dr. A. E. Robinson in Detroit to obtain the restorative remedy free, noting doctors would charge for a prescription.
The Majestic presents Our Own Stock Company in Cherley’s Aunt a revival noted as their final Fort Wayne appearance. The Fort Wayne Zoo reports recent arrivals including a golden baboon and a large alligator display. Froder and Breretta managers promote the attraction as educational and entertaining for all ages. A 25 member school of Capt. Golg arrives soon, expanding the reptile and bird collection. The fall festival at St. Peter's Church netted an estimated $2,200 to $2,900 after expenses.
Washington Valentine, age over seventy, died at her home on Sonf Foplar Street in LaGrange City. Funeral service held at the family home by Rev. James C. Murray of the Methodist Episcopal church. Interment at Greenwood cemetery. The Father Lights Society of the First Baptist church held a musical last evening at Dr Harrod’s home featuring Georgia Waterman Elva McGuire Kenneth Quivey Marion Leonard Maud Challenger and Esther Schiefer.
