Columbia City Ind Nov 18 Thomas J Adams a progressive and respected farmer of Thorn Creek township died suddenly Tuesday morning at 1130 after an illness of three days He had battled heart and nervous trouble for over a year and attended court last Sunday He was born on the farm he died on December 8 1867 aged 55 years 11 months and 15 days He is survived by two brothers John Adams Detroit Mich and Andrew Adams Colorado Springs Colo He wrote The Leg of the Cowboy The Texas Match Maker The Outlet and Cattle Brands and was known as a prominent stock breeder He married Hattie Pollock Oct 18 1898 and two sons survive He served Thorn Creek township as trustee and was a Democrat Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
