Chicago November 10 2000 workers may refuse to work Wednesday if the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen fails to secure managers demands. The vote follows late night talks with union and railroad officials led by Vice Grand Master Lee and Grand Master Morrissey who traveled from Cleveland for the meeting.
Chicago November 10 Grand Master Hawley of the Switchmen's Union of America asserts no switchmen strike will occur. Railroad managers report agreements with raises of 10 to 12 cents per hour for switchmen and 5 to 12 cents for foremen across several lines. Union officials claim the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen cannot force a halt and that members in Chicago number about 1700 with nationwide gains already secured.
In Tamaquah Pennsylvania a meeting of En high Coal and Navigation Company employees formed a committee to warn superintendent W D Zephyer that unless 218 local union officials in Panther Creek valley who are said to be blacklisted are reinstated to their old posts by week’s end a general strike will be ordered.

President Doty, vice president Hackett, secretary treasurer Dillon, with re-elected members Hackett Page and Shiley. Notable visitors and high-ranking masons will attend, with officers including Junice Potent Grand Master and others guiding ceremonies. Richmond Indiana November 10 A man named Voryan from Union City was held up and robbed of all his money by two masked men on the Main urnpike five miles east of the city late last night. Voryan had been visiting here and was returning from New Paris Ohio six miles east. Two FauNE women of this city accompanied him.
