Early returns show Bell defeating rivals to claim the mayor’s office in the state capital. Across Indiana cities, results were mixed with two arrests and several towns reporting surprise party swings. Vincennes marked a historic Republican victory as Democrats initially led before a GOP sweep.
In Indianapolis on November 4 Democrat Joseph E. Bell won the mayoralty by a 45,?8 vote plurality with 28,224. Progressive W T Johnson followed with 14,766 and Republican Charles A J Bookwalter with 14,918. Bell secured broad Democratic support and the party swept the city ticket including police judge and city clerk amid strong political reaction from Governor Ruston.
In Decatur Ind voters favored the Democratic slate in a city election. Mayor candidates included Charles Christe, a former city councilman, who won by nine votes over Republican Henry Tite. Other races saw Jubar M. Davoxs and Snead Martin secure council seats with solid margins, while few voters turned out for several other filings.

In Columbus Tennessee on November 4, the entire Democratic ticket led by Marl Valland defeated Republican Boo W. Parker. At Delphi Indiana on November 4 the November city election elected Pivo remb leans and Cour democrats to office. Winners include W. W. Smith mayor Tatmar Te Arnold clerk Manard Mr. Ttnvlurt and Lranaurer as Republicans. Councilmen elected were McAffe Woodruff Gros Pemperal Gustave Sol win and urles.
In Mt. Vernon Indiana Anthony Grant defeated Jack Moeller by 16 votes to become mayor as Democrats win five council seats while progressives place poorly. In Goshen Mayer Spohn is reelected Democrat by 73 votes over progressive H Gollum amid mixed results including clerk and several council seats.
In Laporte Indiana on November 4 the mayoral race remained undecided with only partial tallies. Nosyet Iman Democrat led 88 votes, Beott TePenent trailed 570, and McGR Republican had 146. Republicans won council seats while Democrats captured their chosen clerk.
In Bloomington a single vacancy aside from W A Wellong for clerk was noted as elected. Jim and Morris lead for mayor with 68 majority. council majorities run higher. Horace Bhikely former county auditor Republican beat Wellens by 10 votes. In Richmond Willa A Rubing, Progressive, leads Ingor by 667 over Democrat Henry Murchy. B A Bescher Progressive wins devs, nine Progressive, two Democrats, one Republican. Mayor Robbing Progressive leads with 2,299 votes. Mare wins Democrat 1,685. Zhamermin Republican 1,303. Bohl Socialist 674.
The city motion in Warsaw today resulted in the election of B. K Richardson mayor and Frank Welch city clerk, with Calvert and Groat Coy as Republican councilmen candidates. Progressives Walter Kintzal and J. A. Cank backed for council, while Ber a Wallace ran as Democrat counciman.
