Appoints Managers for Several Roads in Federal Control

New York June 10 Alfred J1 Smith regional director of railroads for the eastern territory announces federal managers named for repertaiy roads now under government control. Appointments effective today place managers in charge of road property and all departments, with offices in Cincinnati Indianapolis and other cities. The list includes M A Myers Erie and Pitts, B C Gallaway Baltimore and Ohio west of Pittsburgh, T M Contin Coveland and Central Indiana railway, and others overseeing lines such as the Hocking Valley and Lake Erie and Western. Death notices follow for Mrs Lilie Tute and James Tindall, with funeral details in Decatur and Venuesville.

Start Campaign for Civilian Relief Work Chief speakers at mass meeting

Jayden John W Eggeman will speak at a Red Cross home service mass meeting at the Temple theatre Monday evening. Eugene Foster of Associated Charities at Indianapolis will discuss civilian relief needs during the war. A week long home service course begins Tuesday with a 75 cent fee to cover expenses.

Williams daughter leaves Richmond for Red Cross service

Decatur, Ind. Williames daughter of Mr and Mrs Willama on the Richmond farm departs today to serve with the Red Cross. She trained at Reid Memorial hospital nursing school in 1917 after a three year course and has nine years of practical experience. She leaves a $128 monthly hospital position for $50 monthly Red Cross work as a service nurse. A forty foot pole bearing the American flag will be raised on the Williams farm during her departure.
