City AES Attorney E G Hoffman district chairman of the democratic party will address the county convention at Albion this year. Peter Benson, who left for Colorado Springs for health, is recovering after months of illness. Attorney B P Hedren of Springfield Traction spoke to stockholders at a Dewatur banquet. Hon M Babcock of Topeka visited for a few hours then left for Indianapolis to work on a traction project. Meadumes Norton Conover and J D Melsheimer left for Des Moines to attend a biennial Degree of Honor meeting. Mrs Conover is the retired lodge officer of the Indiana grand lodge. The infant son of Mr and Mrs Charles Davis, a mail carrier, was badly injured Sunday when a ball struck the buggy he rode in at Hanna and Wayne streets.
