City Tour Planned of Pumping Stations by Commercial Club
Commercial club committee and city Board of Works will tour the city pumping stations this afternoon to assist the city without official standing. Engineer Ford of St Louis will inspect the municipal lighting plant Monday and review final work plans at the station. City actions include repairs to cement walks on West Main Street damaged by recent rains.

Omaha July 28 Phoebe Townsend of Dix is sued for divorce from her fourteenth husband Anthony W Townsend, whom she married last January. Townsend, a Dodge farmer, won her by newspaper advertisement after seven months cohabitation. He alleges insupportable cruelty and fled the suit. Townsend is fifty two and has fourteen former husbands, nine alive. Nine living husbands include Zoover and Townsend. five deceased include Zoover, Butts, Scott, Bigford, and Smith. Townsend, the only plaintiff in prior divorce actions, says many former spouses are hard to recall or recognize. She lived with several husbands briefly and now resides in Council Bluffs with her present husband and children in that city. The woman is described as shrewd, not ignorant, and with many ex-husbands in the area.
