Industrial Licenses Issued by Thousands in Indiana

From July 1 1918 to Jan 1 1919 the Indiana industrial board issued 6804 licenses to firms with five or more employees and collected 15353 in fees. The report lists 511 theatres paying 1815 35 totaling 8252. 5151 firms employing 427006 people paid 12673. Some 703 firms sold out or ceased operations, 41 merging with others. Sick concerns by category include groceries bakeries automobile and parts, brick and tile, hotels, restaurants, and more.
