Tragic Pittsburgh Murder Suicide In Allegheny Street
In Pittsburgh on January 16 a grisly scene at 209 Spring Alley revealed Rosa Lak killed by her drunk husband Vincent Visolek. Three children aged unknown lay fatally wounded as Visolek himself lay near death. Boarders John Okenski and three Poles are under arrest as investigators seek motive and missing $1,200. Conditions worsen as all injured remain unconscious.

Rathbone, former director of posts, testifying about paying for furnishing his official El Cerro residence from postal funds. He testified his coachman’s salary came from postal funds and that he bought a uniform for the coachman at the suggestion of ex-Postmaster General Smith. The government has disallowed these charges.

Plans for Hartford City power house and railyard
L. J. Schlessinger, Hartford City interurban superintendent, says plans for the new power house car barns and repair shop at Eaton are nearly completed and contracts soon.
