Louis Walker, who with his wife was shot last Friday by Isabel Phelps, died from his wounds today in Hamilton. Mrs Walker was not seriously hurt. Phelps, described as mentally unbalanced, shot them after claiming they were poisoning her.

Patterson-Fletcher Company announces a sale with discounts on all leather sets at 20 percent and combinations of suspenders, armbands, and garters at 75 cents. Traveling bags, suit cases, and trunks are offered at one fifth off, plus 130 dozen men’s 5 cent bordered handkerchiefs at 2 1/4 cents each. They note they sell leftover high grade garments and do not purchase new clothing for sales.

Three men attempted a post office robbery at Utica Ohio in Licking county. A pistol battle ensued with one robber wounded. A mail wagon and two horses were seized as the trio fled toward Newark amid chaos.
The Fort Wayne Outfitters company was fully vindicated by a Adams County jury, denying Mrs. Sarah Guselman damages she sought for $1,000 in trespass claims. Jira Guy Selman surrendered goods bought from the Outfitters, but court officials say the jury ruled for the defense.
The Caledonian Society of Fort Wayne plans a Burns birthday celebration at 814 Calhoun Street with a banquet and literary program. Rev Montgomery of Third Presbyterian will give a brief address, then Dr K K Wheelock discusses a trip through Scotland, followed by a dance.

Newcastle PA reports a domestic incident where Thomas Pritchard and his wife quarrelled at the farmer father’s home. A pistol shot followed by a scream led to the wife allegedly shooting Tom and then threatening self harm. A second shot ended the scene as witnesses recalled the flood of distress.
Emil Keller of Logansport has been chosen by the house committer of the Commercial club to act as house manager and he will report for duty Tuesday of next week. Keller formerly managed the Barnett hotel and led the grill room at the Elks club in Logansport and comes here highly recommended. He succeeds Frank Mueller who resigned to manage a cafe opened by Henry Tiebke on the south side around April 1.
Mrs. Carrie Nation, noted temperance advocate famed for smashing liquor shelves, suffered a nervous collapse at her Eureka Springs home. Her condition was serious enough to prompt fears that her temperance campaign may be halted.
Stephen A Callahan attends eight business matters at Cinema Poart while Charles Golden of B J Golden haberdashery lies ill at home on West Wayne Street. Hope Hospital examined him. conditions improved at home. A fourth floor Masonic temple room suffered 300 dollars of fire damage after painter John Sours knocked a lit match igniting oil. explosions followed. Sours sustained severe burns to head and arms while fighting the blaze.

Dr W B Lester a Claypool physician who died by hanging after attending Taylor University in 1889 1890 was a close friend of Attorney W Emrick and a member of the game class. Shortly before his death he asked Mr Emrick to write his obituary and yesterday Mr Emrick with his brother Dr A G Emrick left for Cleypool to collect data.
