Five Survivors Rescued From Gregory After Shipwreck

New York reports the Roath Hine steamer Gregory arrived with five survivors from the Gil Gitke Oklahoma which buckled amid Sandy Oak lightship. Three Gregory crew dove overboard to save the victims, two were pulled from the sea while one perished. Captain W. Aspinyall lauds the crew’s bravery as the rescued victims cling to a lifeboat and lifelines. Names listed include Fred Boa John Kyieh George Tobnson Captain Aspinyall Wil Lintht Jacob Swanson.

New Accountant Appointed for City Utilities Office

The state public utilities commission requires a new accounting system to be put into effect immediately in the election office. John J. Alt, of Trust Jeith Street, was yesterday employed as yon keeper for the department and will start duties tomorrow morning. He was five years head accountant at the Fort Wayne rolling mane and the past two years with the Fort Wayne tree bureau. An inspector Schatt of Cin health department will start within the next few stay. A list of personnel and sanitary precautions for dairying supply work in Wayne will be visited. Federal court halts Missouri overcharge case actions

Judge Amith McPherson in Kansas City enjoined Missouri Attorney General John T. Barker from proceeding in state courts with a 74 million dollar overcharge suit against Missouri Railready and took the Missouri river rate case under advisement for three weeks. The ruling follows a U S Supreme Court decision and features Barker denouncing the injunctions as a political attack.

Woman Raised and Passed Bills Alone in New York

Assault in Mrs Roys room by stranger at Colevick street

Mrs Emil Roy and four children were awoken by a stranger who entered their upstairs bedroom. She sustained a skull fracture and head injuries after a fight with the intruder who fled through the back door when the alarm sounded. Police sought the man, aided by sister Mrs Spyder who saw the fleeing suspect.

Arrest of John Krog After Alleged Domestic Abuse

John Krog of 148 Harmer Street was arrested last night by Sergeants Binm and Nave and Officer Bunel following reports of beating his wife and threats. The accused had long abused his wife, prompting her fear to remain with him before he was taken to headquarters.
