In Cleveland on February 18 the bankers committee in charge of the Everett Moore syndicate decided not to recommend leasing the Cleveland Electric Railway Co. property to the Morgan Widener syndicate. The meeting included bankers, attorneys, CER directors, and representatives of Morgan Widener. A local syndicate reportedly offered to buy the Big Consolidated and Little Consolidated systems, with a controlling stake viewed as above market, and the sub committee will report later. The committee did authorize a time sale of the Canton Akron and Canton Massillon properties to Tucker Anthony of Boston.
