Railroad union chief renews charge on government rail plans
Cleveland Ohio Fen President W G Lee of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen says he will present numerous statements from employees in train engine and yard service to support his claim that certain operating officials were trying to undermine government operation. He will supply these to the director general of railroads when asked. Lee declined to reply to a telegram from the Associated Banks of New York challenging him to prove a report that four New York banks back efforts to delay the eight hour law and hamper government operation.

Coal price increases announced by fuel administration
Bituminous coal prices at mine sites in Maryland West Virginia were raised today by the fuel administration. Increases include run of mine from 2.00 to 2.40 and prepared sizes from 2.25 to 2.45 in multiple regions including upper Potomac Cumberland Piedmont and Mineral Grant and Tucker counties. Kenova Thacker fields in Mingo and adjacent areas also posted higher rates from 2.06 to 2.40 for run of mine and 2.25 to 2.40 for prepared sizes with screenings from 1.75 to 2.15.
