Handsome Young Woman Ends Life at Fine Arts Academy
Belinda Jourdan aged around thirty, pupil at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, was found dead in her Philadelphia boarding house room. She had inflicted three knife marks on her chest, left a vial of carbolic acid and a gas tube suggesting inhalation of illuminating gas. Her home was 192 Fourth Street Troy New York. The motive remains unknown.
