Actor Shot in Quarrel Over Woman in Danville

Charles H. Smith, a New York City actor and member of the Two Johns troupe, was fatally shot in his Saratoga hotel room in Danville. F. C. Cooper, also of New York and Morris Island Company, fired during a quarrel over Mrs. Cooper.

Warsaw girl saves toddler in canal earns medal

In Warsaw Indiana Miriam Kuta, a girl of nearly two, received a gold medal presented by Mr and Mrs T R Keleer of Columbus Ohio for rescuing Teddy Keleer, aged five, from drowning in a canal last summer while the family was visiting Warsaw.
