Mrs. Mary Smith, 72, of South Whitley Indiana, died Monday at her son Edward M. Smith's home after a long illness. A native New Yorker, she lived in Wayne County before moving here twenty six years ago. Four children survive, including Belard Meg Smith and Mrs Darren Rapley of South Whitley, Mrs Deere Rideoun of Toledo, and Mrs W Ball of Trenopville DC. She was active in the GTJ organization and boxing at Summit City Club events.
Finan returned from Chicago where he met Hon H R Bucklin president of the St Joseph Valley Railway and inspected the new inter car nearly finished for use on the Valley line.
