Marriage of Miss Gorette Rhoades and Ollie Green

Miss Gorette Rhoades of this city wed Ollie Green in a Thursday ceremony on August 20 at the bride’s home. Rev J W Saunders officiated with Mrs Samuel Jones playing the wedding march. The bride wore a gold satin gown and carried pink roses. groom in black. A luncheon followed and guests included Mrs Ida Bass, Mrs Sam Jones, Mrs Ford, and many local residents. The record notes church and social events in the community as well as visitors and parties held in honor of others.
