City News and Local Notices From A Vanishing Era
A ragged OCR snapshot narrates scattered city items: a chimney fire damage incident on Tel Ouse Street, a Gideons meeting on East Columbia Street, travel plans of Mrs. Marthe Putt and Frank Bui to Kansas and Texas, and new safety wagons with Dour Ifeneta deployed. It recalls veterans from William Dallen’s Bluffton road, and a long reminiscence of Hicksville in earlier days with candlelight services and itinerant preachers amid fear of the devil.
