Refused Citizenship Papers At Bluffton Court
In Bluffton Indiana on April 29 Judge F W Gordon refused citizenship papers to Hezekiah Barrington of Poneto and A W Carson of Bluffton after claims of army exemption as aliens. Two cases were continued as witnesses and others lacked familiarity with American institutions. A marriage license was issued to Miss Lela Kleinknight and Riley Kay.

Officers Elude Crowd With 30 Greek Workers
In Beardstown Wisconsin on April 29, officers aided by a switch engine and taxi car fled a thousand angry citizens pursuing 30 Greek railroad workers arrested in connection with a murder in Frederick across the river. The Greeks were taken to Jacksonville and placed in county jail after a second crowd gathered. Police chief sought aid from Chicago Burlington & Quincy to move them for safety.

Frost Damage Report From Farmers Indicates Limited Impact
