Beck Leaves Five Departments For PPR
Washington April 12 Assistant Attorney General James M Beck tendered his resignation to President Roosevelt before the president's departure for the west. Beck expresses pride in serving under the current and preceding administrations and accepts the resignation to take effect April 30. He says he will join Shearman & Sterling in New York May 1 while remaining affiliated with his Philadelphia firm. He led key government cases including mergers and the Neely extradition fight. His successor Nashant is chosen but not yet announced.
