In Muncie Indiana March 31 Allied linemen trouble men metallers and others employed by the Delaware and Madison Counties Telephone company walked off their jobs over a labor dispute. The office force and operators remained. Superintendent Stone sought eight men to replace strikers in Alexandria but the workers refused. A union meeting ordered all installers out on strike and he was removed from duties. The company stated the action end of the day, the strike continued with union hoping for quick settlement.
