News from Greenwood Mississippi dated November 25 reports belief that John Richards and Thomas Watts, accused of ambushing robbing and killing Miss Bagwell and burning her body, were lynched by a mob after being taken to Abbeyville jail. Locals say the mob went to break into the jail to free the prisoners.
