Paris May 20 American bicyclist Linton rode 80 miles in one hour at the Velodrome Seine, shattering records from mile five to the finish in a sensational performance. The Colts return from Saginaw with five wins in six out‑of‑town games and prepare to face the Mudhens at Lakeside tomorrow amid strong local interest and anticipated rowdy support.
The body of Charles F. Lispenard deputy chief ranger of the foresters who had been missing since November 26 was found on a Mississippi river island below Cairo. Robert Burkit travels to Wickliffe Ky to obtain conclusive proof of death before insurance is paid Mrs Lispenard. Lispenard had been pursuing the alleged murderer of David Latta of Vincennes.
Miss Verna Kellogg riding west on Berry street collided with a laundry wagon driven by Jacob Shell at Harrison turning east. She was thrown to the pavement, unconscious, with a deep head cut and bruises but doctors say wounds are not dangerous. She was treated by Dr. Shryock and colleagues.
LaPearl presents a 10 and 20 cent railroad show at Fort Wayne on Thursday and Friday May 21 and 22 on Calhoun street rail flats. Features include bareback riders gymnasts acrobats trapeze contortionists jugglers clowns and performing animals plus aerialists and the LaPearl children. A grand noon street parade precedes a 1 pm perilous 60 foot dive into a net. Children under 9 half price in the afternoon.
