Logansport Indiana marks one year of municipal electric lighting with profits and low rates. About 155 street arc lights and 4500 incandescent lights powered at seven cents per thousand watts, saving costs from prior private lighting. The city nets about 16 600 annually and plans a jubilee to honor the achievement.
Marshall county reports a dramatic revival scene led by Lewis Canaan. During a meeting in Bourson, he collapsed then rampaged tearing seats and assembling a chopping block with two axes nearby. Reverend W H Rittenhouse dismissed the service, averting potential tragedy as Canaan promised to return.
J. W. Pruitt married Emma Ranney aged 17 near Bloomington three weeks ago.
