In Waynesburg Mr. Teeples shot at Mr. Williams twice wounding him in the shoulder and side. Williams, a 65 to 70 year old farmer, lies seriously ill with little chance of recovery. Teeples, out on bail, is tied to a nail theft accusation. Near Crestline Abraham Holmes, driven by a mental lapse, attacked his wife with a knife and club, inflicting head and arm injuries. he will be taken to the Lunatic Asylum.
Quincy Illinois May 1 A man calling himself Bernard Lesner from Hamilton Ohio was arrested on suspicion of murdering Sharon Tyndale of Springfield. A sling shot was found on him and he offered inconsistent stories while in custody. The Springfield mayor prepared to transport him to the capital as hair evidence suggested a possible link to the victim.
The Wauwatosa murder case will rest until the grand jury meets Thursday for testimony from witnesses. Police continue casework amid excitement and rumors harming neighborhood residents as questions linger about the victim. James M.
