Daughter In Ayuring Mills Injured By Shaft

Emma Cartzdamer, daughter of John W. Cartzdamer, at Somerford in Loudon County, was caught by a revolving shaft while cleaning machinery on Saturday evening. Her right arm was broken and she sustained serious internal and external injuries. Recovery is hoped.

Fatal head injury in schoolyard fight in San Antonio

A fight between a twelve-year-old colored boy and fourteen-year-old white Willie Galbraith left the colored boy fatally struck after the white boy struck him with a heavy stone. The blow crushed the skull and exposed brain, reported from San Antonio.

Two Infants and Woman Found Dead in North Carolina Woods

Bodies of Rosa Stark and her two infants were found near Pleasant Hill Northampton County. Coroner's inquest reveals she gave birth to an infant Monday night and killed it then buried it Tuesday morning she gave birth to a second child and killed it before dying from exposure. A Swede, Andreas Anderson of Kenville county near Redwood Falls, stabbed his wife several times and cut her hands while trying to kill his two daughters. The girls escaped through deep snow to a neighbor, one with a frozen foot. Dr Flinn says Mrs Anderson is in critical condition. Anderson is jailed awaiting insanity proceedings for transfer to St Peters.
