In Indianapolis on February 17 the senate ordered second reading and engrossment for measures including amending supervisors act sections and enabling wet land owners to reclaim. New bills introduced cover constitutional amendments and county official appointments with tax relief proposals also on the agenda.
The Indiana Supreme Court held that in a rape case with a guilty verdict an appeal by the state on a reserved question is improper after conviction, and the appeal must be dismissed.
