Indians Ordered to Stay on Reservations Under Guard

Darien Exploring Expedition prepares for survey voyage
The United States Darien surveying expedition officers arrived in New York on December 31 to finalize preparations. The party includes Lieutenants Collina Jenton Sullivan and Sepanier Ensign Seabury and Surgeon Norfleet with two officers moving to Commodore Luis's group. Dual Fatalities After Whisky Dispute in Missouri

Death of Mrs Nolan Found With Wounds in Chicago

Her husband, who was away, returned at 2 am, was arrested after saying she died about 9 pm and he fetched help but later drank and did not return. He denies knowledge of the wounds.
