Wreck Near Fort Stockton After Spreading Rails
A late Thursday evening Orient train wrecked near Roundhouse Fort Stockton due to a water soaked roadbed from heavy rain. The engine tender and box car rolled over and the baggage car displaced the flat car tractors while the passenger coach toppled onto the baggage. Crew and passengers escaped with only bruises and a shaken state. The train was commanded by Engineer Branch Moseley with Conductor Jim Clark and other crew members aboard.
