Top taxpayers are oil and gas firms responsible for 68 percent of district taxes. enrollment is projected at 3,350 with local maintenance and debt service taxes guiding funding.
Sherry Nall, director of the summer recreation program, reminds that all registered second graders should report to the high school pool Monday at 8 a.m. Classes for second and third graders are in two three week segments. Dr. P. H. Cordero of Fort Stockton was installed as the 1972 73 president of the Noon Lions Club during the club's annual ladies night and barbecue. He pledged to serve by aiding others, while retiring President Leon Roberts reviewed a year of activity and a district project funding a new wing for the Texas Lions Camp.
