Stockton Sailor Weds After Naval Academy Graduation
Everett Rigsbee son of Mr and Mrs E O Rigsbee of Fort Stockton graduated at high noon from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis with the rank of ensign. That afternoon he married Miss Mary Alice Briggs of St Louis in the academy chapel. The couple's reception followed. Ensign Rigsbee will report to the naval station in San Diego California. He passed through Fort Stockton en route to his post.

F W Sherman of the Texas Louisiana Power Co announces Katrina Van Televox, the electric wonder girl, will be at the Queen Theatre in Fort Stockton for one day only Friday June 20 at 2 30 p m. This is her first showing in the region and one of only two in the country. Built by Westinghouse Electric Co the device cost 22000.

In Fort Worth on June 20 the cattle market moved slowly with weak demand. About 2000 cattle and 400 calves arrived. Steers sold on a weak basis, with deals around 5.50 to 6.25 dollars. Good cows were scarce. cutters 3.75 to 4.25, canners 2.50 to 3.50, medium to fair cows 4.75 to 5.50. Heifers and yearlings 9.65 to 10.25, bulls 5 to 5.50, common cattle 4.25 to 4.50, veal calves up to 11.25 in package lots.

Road from Spring to Old Spanish Trail Graded

Don Rooney Trapped in Cave on Sibley Ranch for Hours
On the Sibley ranch near Fort Stockton in the Glass Mountains Don Rooney and Bradfield explored a cave with rope ladder guns and torches. Rooney slipped while climbing out and was rescued after about 21 hours, revived by Dr. Moore and doing well afterward.
