School District Sets 365 950 Budget Monday

Stockton Pharmacy Burglary Blows Safe and Stolen Narcotics
Burglars blew doors at Stockton Pharmacy early Friday morning June 13 using an air vent entry. They stole about 20 dollars worth of narcotics, later valued at 200 on the black market, damaged safe doors and windows, with total losses around 700 dollars. No arrests reported as investigators from multiple agencies pursue leads. Cow Mothers Twins Leaves Them Orphans
A cow on the Charles Eldred ranch ten miles west of Fort Stockton dropped twins then drowned in a shallow mud pool after slipping downhill in rain. The orphaned calves were saved by Matilda Marino, an employee of Frank Hinde, and are being raised as pets.

Mrs. Janey Preston Graham died suddenly Tuesday evening about 6 30 from a heart attack. She was 19 and left two young children, Denis Fay age 3 and Jean. She worked as a roughneck for Brown & Thorpe Drilling Co. The family had lived in town three months, moving from Bassfield Mississippi. Burial will be in Prentiss Mississippi.
